High Tide Festival (4 December)
A rehearsed reading of one of Sandy Fairthorne's plays was completed for the High Tide Festival. More than 30 people came to the Surfworld theatrette (thanks John Foss and the Museum staff!) for the performance and most stayed behind to discuss the play with the playwright. Sandy is a local playwright and TTT has performed some of her plays as they are being developed and redrafted. TTT performed Sandy's 'The Knowing' at the One-Act play Festival in Anglesea in August and won the award for best original script.

Rehearsed Reading, Bomboras,
10th Anniversary!
It's been a long time coming (just over ten years!) but if you have ever been involved with the Troupe as an actor, set designer / builder, prompt, caterer, program designer, costumier, barman, stage manager, props sourcer, promoter, writer, director or anything that has helped the Troupe reach this stage, we met to celebrate the 10th year of TTT's progress. Some old faces and some new ones came to the party to reminisce and congratulate ourselves on our progress and growth to date.
The play reading in March to welcome interested participants had a GREAT turnout. Thanks to Maryanne Doolan for organising some nice manageable 10 minute plays for the night. People spent 20 minutes reading a play, considered how to present it and performed excellently without a lot of preparation time. Well done to all the groups of people who came together and hit the spot with the short performances and readings. Brilliant!
The play reading held on Thursday 3rd February at the old police station ('The Summer of the seventeenth doll' by Ray Lawler) was a full house. In fact some people had to sit on the floor because we ran out of chairs and space in the room. The Aussie 'classic' "17th doll" was a great hit and plenty of people had a chance to either read or just listen. Thanks to Maryanne Doolan for organising it and all those who participated.
