Know your way around a sewing machine? Handy with a needle and thread? Love to linger at the op shop in pursuit of that certain something? Then this could be the job for you!
-
If you’re handy with a hammer, drill and power tools, we’d love your help to build the scenery (AKA ‘set’) for our next show!
-
Torquay Theatre Troupe is fortunate to have state of the art lighting equipment and can teach you everything to know about hanging, focussing and programming stage lighting. We also need lighting board operators during each performance. Could this be you?

Sound effects and music are an important part of the magic-making of live theatre. We are seeking individuals who can assist in sourcing, programming and operating our digital sound design system in the leadup to and during performances. Basic computer knowledge is required, however all training is provided.

The stage manager is the crucial calm presence who is the middleman between the director and the cast. Their tasks range from helping with prompt (lines) during rehearsal, recording actors’ movements on stage (known as ‘blocking’), setting up tea and coffee for rehearsals, assisting backstage at each performance and much more. Previous experience is preferred, but if you are keen to learn, we’re keen to have you! Assistant Stage Manager roles are available to learn the skill of stage management.

Without an audience, there is no show! Can you help us to design posters, handout promotional material around town, manage our social media channels, write media releases or manage relationships with journalists and community stakeholders? We’d love to hear from you!

Our Front of House crew are the friendly faces that greet our patrons at the door on the night of each performance, take tickets at the door, man the bar, direct ticket holders to their seats, organise interval coffee and tea and help clean up afterwards. Sound like you? Join us!
